Sirât (ES 2025)

Laxe did it again. But this time with more budget, and with an officicial competition slot, not just Quinzaine. And it is not as silly as "Mimosas". The story features more Maroccon landscape and less Paris-Dakar like racing in the desert, it's more like the old Italian Spagetti westerns. Also filmed in the Red Canyon in southern Spain. The people are again all director lookalikes, Spanish hippies fascinated by the desert and Maroccon, Polisario war/drug stories. This time it get's very, very existencial. The minefields are real. Which makes a better viewing experience, with less silly Mad Max antics. Still a bit too much over the top, but since I like that area over there a lot, one of the world's best surfing spot is nearby, I enjoyed it. Even if the story is silly.

Dieser Film hat so langweilig normal angefangen und dann plötzlich einfach VÖLLIG am Rad gedreht. Eine absolute Vollkatastrophe.
